Student Development Program (SDP) on Excellency in

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

School of Aeronautics (SOA) in association with Air India Engineering Services Ltd (AIESL), organized a highly interactive Student Development Program (SDP) on the topic “Excellency in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering”. A large number of students and faculties of our group of institutions participated in the SDP organized in the college Mini Auditorium. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. H.R. Jagannath (CEO, Air India Engineering Services Ltd, AIESL) who said that the journey of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is a fascinating one. He encouraged the students by saying that current requirement in the Aircraft Maintenance field. According to him, tomorrow’s Aviation industry is based on Aircraft Maintenance Engineering only. Mr. H.R. Jagannath always believes in the team work so that he took his entire team to interact and motivate the budding Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) of SOA. His team who made the SDP a most successful one are Mr. M. Bala Krishnan (AIESL), Mr. Senthil Kumar (GM-AIESL), Mr. Sharad Aggrwal (Deputy GM-AIESL), Mr. Bidhan Biswas (Chief Manager -Personal-AIESL), Mr. Shashank Shekhar (Marketing-AIESL), Mr. Anup Kumar (AIESL), Mr. Rahul (AIESL).


Mr. M. Bala Krishnan Ex-GM, and now he is the consultant of AIESL who presided over the event told the students that what is Air India Engineering Services Ltd, functions of AESIL, Role of AESIL in the aviation sector and he presented the overall view of Air India Engineering Services Ltd (AESIL). He clearly made the students to understand regarding the MRO duties and responsibilities. Followed by Mr. M. Bala Krishnan interaction with students. Mr. Sharad Aggrwal (Deputy GM-AIESL) fills the thoughts of the student with the scope of CAR-145, the scope of CAR-147. Since, he is the quality manager so he shared his real time practice to maintain the quality of the organization. He is the wonderful speaker who attracted the entire minds of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers of School of Aeronautics. The lunch break was followed his session.


The post lunch session is the panel discussion of entire AIESL team headed by Mr. H.R. Jagannath with the students and faculties of School of Aeronautics. They shared their views by telling the students that Past, Present and future of Aviation industries. They insist the students to have a deep knowledge of the subject which is very necessary for their career. The event concluded with a vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Chattrapati C Ashoka (Director, SOA). Students appreciated the content and context of the SDP delivered
